Probably because people in other countries aren't slaves to marketing like Americans are.
10mbps is 10mbps. I don't care if it's on Verizon's "4g" or T-Mobile's "3.75G/4G".

Anchorage, AK | Problem wasn't that it didn't have 4G... The problem with these international "New iPad" wasn't that they don't have 4G. The problem is that they don't have the frequency set for any 4G outside of America, so it drops down to 3G. The radio is there, just not usable in that area because they don't put LTE on the same frequencies. | |

Apple calls their device 4G capable because they can. 4G doesn't mean S#$T-when I see the legally binding definition of what 4G is in a court of law, a definition that won't be struck down or set aside by some paid for pimped judge, THEN maybe THEN it would mean something Until then its a free for all and all the slick marketing doesn't be squat. Ho hum wake me when the Corporate American technology titan back up their marketing with real quantifiable performance figures and honor contracted commitments.

4G is just a way to say we need more money from you because its not 3G. Also its not that other country's are not compatible with U.S freq, it because the U.S is the only place that don't have it and our deff for 4G is not what 4g really is!....... | |
