User bobytt See Profile writes in: "I got a letter from Atlantic broadband in Miami Beach saying that from Mid January they are going to offer speeds up to 12mbps. Amazing, since they were offering MAX 5mbps so far, and for me personally they were one of the WORST ISPs in whole US regarding speeds."

Re: upload speed?

I just called and they said upload speed will be 768Kb. At least it's better then the 256 we've been getting. They just turned it on for me and it seems very fast. I'm getting approximately 10Mb Down/730 Up. I bet they did this because AT&T (formely Bellsouth) just increased their speeds in the area. The same thing happened up in Potomac, Maryland with Comcast increasing their speeds to match FIOS when they came into the area.

Unusable? I agree. I cannot post this response to you because of my 5Mbs connection.

16/1 In Middletown

I received the same promotion from ABB, except they advertise 16/1 package in Middletown, DE. "Up to 3 times faster than the most popular FiOS internet option". FiOS is killing ABB in Middletown. I dropped ABB over a year ago and have not looked back.

ABB

Hi all.
As i said in the message , here in South Beach we are very limited in ISPs that provide speeds over 6Mbps. There is few offers for aDSL+ but since the wires are so old its impossible
to reach even 6Mbps. This is the situation. with me right now
I was paying for 8Mbps. buts i cant really got stable even 6....

Sad thing...

Is it just me or does their logo remind me of the star-trek communicator insignia's?
