Bell Sympatico to increase speeds again
by MacGyver Monday 15-Dec-2003
According to this press release at newswire.ca, Sympatico is once again increasing download and upload speeds for it's customers. Download speeds will now be increased from 1.5 megabit to 3.0 megabit for HSE subscribers, while Ultra customers will see their speeds increased to 4.0 megabit from the current 3.0 megabit. HSE subscribers will also see their upload speeds increased "up to 800 kilobits/second". The really big news is that no price increase is planned.

Sympatico recently underwent a campaign this summer to increase download speeds to it's High Speed Edition customers from 1.0 megabit to 1.5 megabit.

I can't wait until 2004!

I'm looking forward to seeing the increase in speeds on Bell... after so long hearing Cable users laughing and pointing their fingers at us in regards to our distance problem, we finally get a speed increase. ^_^

Not worth keeping the "Ultra"

As much as I love speed increases, I'd hate to keep paying "Ultra" premiums for such a small upgrade. I joined "Ultra" for "speeds up to 3 times faster than high speed". After the upgrades take place, I'll be paying extra for speeds up to one fourth faster. Does it make any to stay with "Ultra"??
