The Communications, Energy, and Paperworkers Union of Canada reports that over 7,000 technicians employed by Bell Canada have voted to accept the company’s last offer for renewal of their collective agreement. This agreement avoids a strike, which would have affected installation and repair of DSL and telephone services throughout Ontario and Quebec.
