BellSouth teams up with Google (old news - 01:06PM Monday Apr 05 2004)
BellSouth announced Monday that it has teamed up with Google to provide search capabilities to its Internet and broadband customers.
The carrier swapped out its less sophisticated homegrown search engine for one powered by Google. The new search capabilities are part of the company's redesigned home page, which launched on March 31. BellSouth hopes that adding Google's search capabilities will help entice customers to stick with its service.

No Place Like Google.. No Place Like Google..
I only use google.com and my google toolbar to search, never any company who has "teamed" up with Google. -- Do not judge those who try and fail; Judge those who fail to try.
Now if they would just change the tab-indexing so the Google field does not autmatically get focus on page load! I start entering my webmail login and password as the rest of the webmail page is still loading graphics. Never used to be a problem. Now, however, as I finish entering my name and password and hit enter, I realize too late that the page moved my cursor into the Google search filed and took my password as a search term...Nice way of generating click-throughs to Google...
