| Re: Which motherboard? Now how well are those boards going to remain stable?
nForce for AMD has pretty much been the primary choice because they were the best overclockers and were ridiculously stable compared to anything else (ATi, VIA, etc.).
However, it seems like Intel has for years 'broke' functionality for competing chipsets, because for the longest time, none of the nForce4 Intel chipset-based boards were worth the PCB they were printed on. Half of them weren't stable at stock, and the other half couldn't o/c for anything.
I expect that to change with DFI's 590 SLI Intel boards (:D), but almost all the Core2-based boards I've seen only use either the nF4 SLI or the 975X. -- VIA sux GC online CSS stats ATI sux FLF |
