Actually, here lately for me, it seems like it really is going for 1+ minutes, I know it's sounds crazy, but I could just be crazy as well

| | works for 5+ minutes for me. I'm on RR biz 20/2, today I was downloading a fairly large file from work and it was steady at 28Mbps for the duration (5 minutes or so). Really wish they would give us an upload boost too, 5Mbps like comcast is doing would be nice. | |

It was cool as hell!
Now it is backed off to normal PowerBoost that lasts for 40MB, then drops back. -- Think outside the Fox... Opera

| Not in the CFL region? I have the Brighthouse 15/2 business at my house. After reading this thread I did a speed test (using the Brighthouse server), unplugged my home router & cable router and did another speed test. My results? 14.5M down, 1.9M up both times...
I'll give it a couple days, and if I don't have it I'll call BrightBiz tech support.

| | It's been out for over a week I noticed it about a week ago. I was getting 30/2 when I first noticed it. Speedtest today gave 21/2. So it seems it has gone to normal. -- "There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots" | |

In fact whose to say if you're on say 16 mbps you're not getting 8 Mbps most of the time? Since the speedtest results will always be inflated. I hope Charter never stoops to using this crap. If I'm paying for 10 Mbps I like to know I'm actually get 10 Mbps and not 5 Mbps.

As for sustained, I'm on the 16/2 Blast from Comcast... this is what I get - sustained.

| And we have a winner!
"PowerBoost" ensures speed tests are well and consistently inflated. It should help web apps and browser plugin downloading too though.

The boost window is designed around 99%+ of user downloads. Since 99%+ of all downloads are inside the PowerBoost window it provides a noticeable speed increase for the vast majority of users' experience.
There is also no reason why the boost window won't increase over time. I think there is a long history of speed increases which prove this.
The reality is, you cannot please all of the people, all of the time. But 99%+ is pretty good

| | Stupid I think powerboost is absolutely stupid. Either give it to me full time or don't do it at all.
