Bright House Suffering Prolonged E-mail Issues
Starting last Wednesday, users in our Bright House forum started complaining that they weren't able to use the company's e-mail services, and some users continue to complain of problems as of today. "Some Road Runner email customers are experiencing service issues," the company said in a prepared statement issued last week. "Bright House Networks is fully engaged in trying rectify the situation. We are working to have the issue resolved shortly." According to both Time Warner Cable and Bright House, the problems have impacted as many as one million Roadrunner subscribers across both carriers. "Credits are being issued on a case by case basis," a company representative in our forums (in other words, you won't get one if you don't ask for it).

Don't use ISP email....

A good reason NOT to use ISP email, is that it "marries" you to the ISP. 3 or 4 years later, a new fast fiber ISP comes to town, and you are reluctant to switch because your email is still with the old ISP, and you have used it to register on 50 websites, and everyone you know knows that address.

It's better to go through the pain ONCE and migrate to a non-ISP email, so you can switch ISP whenever you want.
