Buffalo Technology has announced its newest Linkstation network attached storage (NAS) device that is aimed at small businesses and enterprises. The Linkstation Pro comes in 250 GB to 750 GB capacities and includes Active Directory support. Buffalo claims the unit can transfer data at up to 35 MB per second.
The Linkstation Pro has an auto-crossover sensing Gigabit Ethernet port along with multiple USB ports. Additional USB drives and LinkStation Pro devices can be daisy-chained for more storage or for automatic backups. Buffalo says hard drive temperatures are kept in control because the chassis acts as a heat sink.
