They are offering it on these lines only because thats where their service area is .Its very easy to connect it to their own cable system.

lirr and metro north I understand. usually it's a wifi hand-held device similar to an iphone/itouch or portable internet touch device. the zune hd is also another example.

| | | | Tons of people, iPad too. You must not ride trains very often.
Make it free to everyone, and add subway stations.

No one should be taking nor making calls on a train/subway. While most feel it is fine, in reality MOST have no clue how much noise they make while talking on a phone etc...
Leave the calls to the privacy of your home or car, or in areas where your conversation does NOT impede on another person near you.... -- RIAA/MPAA... Bite me!!!! In constant search for intelligent life on Earth!

Leave the calls to the privacy of your home or car, or in areas where your conversation does NOT impede on another person near you.... I'm very quiet when I take calls on the phone. I hear many more people who talk to each other who are loud who are twice as loud as me.
I could care less about what other people think. Everyone on the train looks so miserable, and there are enough people that scream or smell like dogshit or look like the dregs of the earth for me to feel bad about taking a 16 second phone call.
Screw the people on the train that look at you like they're going to die if they have to spend 1 more second within 3 yards of your presence. -- Macbook, & BlackBerry repair in NYC
