NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cablevision Systems Corp., on Friday said it planned to raise cable rates by 2.8 percent on average across its service territory, but plans to keep its high speed Internet and phone service rates unchanged.
Rates aren't changing for iO Silver and iO Gold, by the way.

For this reason it will drive more people to consider switching to satellite. Watch for heavy advertising by direct TV and the like around the time the hikes take effect..
