Cablevision to Offer HBO Go, Max Go Service Will Be Available 'In The Next Few Months' On the heels of a similar announcement by Time Warner Cable, Cablevision says they've also struck a deal that will finally bring HBO Go and Max Go to Cablevision customers. According to a statement sent to Broadband Reports, Cablevision expects to begin offering the service within the next few months. It remains unclear what obstacle aside from the obvious (money, mobile device streaming licensing specifics) prevented Time Warner Cable and Cablevision from signing such deals months after they were secured by other ISPs. HBO Go offers users streaming access across multiple devices to current and past HBO content -- though you must subscribe to traditional cable and traditional HBO in order to view it.

| ... It might actually be worth it, if the "past HBO content" included the stuff that wasn't already available from multiple sources, like the Real Sex series, or Not Necessarily the News, but it won't. It will just be stuff like The Sopranos, True Blood, etc. | |

Of course there will always be torrents and such but this works better because you can't store everything they offer on a phone or tablet. I use it on occasion and it works flawlessly, lots of content too. -- "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix

It's also a new trend for seasonal classics to make the torrent rounds.. the battle of convenience (for video over the internet) started a long time ago..
