From the end user:

[ upgrade failed] Pro service stuck at 896/512

Hello,

I upgraded from express to pro service a couple of months ago. When I had dsl express, I was obtaining 1538 downstream and after upgrading to pro this merely went up to around 1680.

It is NOW capped at 896 and is significantly slower than when I originally had express service! Could you please look into this problem. If possible, I would also like the connection switched back to fast path as the latency from being on interleave is nearly unbearable for gaming.

I checked the line and everything looked normal to me. I reported back with the following..

From the poster:

Hello,

Thank you again for checking the line and switching it back to fast path. It has certainly improved the latency issues. I recently replaced a DSL filter on the phone line that was apparently defective and may have added to the noise problems on the line. So far everything appears to be running much quicker and more smoothly.

problem found: Defective filter

Symptoms:
• bad ping
• bad sync rate
• poor performance
• static on phone line
