CARMEL — Change isn't always easy, and that certainly was an understatement in parts of Putnam County over the weekend as many residents made the switch to their new cable, phone and Internet service provider.

SusCom, a subsidiary of Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Co., took over the eastern region's former supplier, RCN, and the move was not seamless for many subscribers. Customers flocked to the SusCom offices in Carmel yesterday, complaining about a host of problems, from cable malfunctions, to trouble changing their e-mail addresses, to faulty telephone service.
