After Wave Broadband has taken over
(old news - 01:22PM Saturday Dec 29 2007)
tags: business · cable · content · wavebroadband
California customers are now able to watch their favorite school sports games since Comcast SportsNet has launched on Charter cable systems. The change has taken place after Charter was taken over by Wave Broadband in a customer switcheroo. Wave is still operating under the Charter name in this area but the new channel is a result of Wave’s partnership with Comcast. The channel brings college and high school sports to the television screens of regional area customers.

Why would anyone want to watch High School football?

Parents, grandparents, and other relatives of the players!! Fellow students who don't go to the game. Fanatic alumuni and players from the teams in years past?

Re: LOL

what a waste of broadcast air time. there better off airing infomercials. at least those are more entertaining especially when they tell you what a great deal this piece of shit is we will double your order! (made in china, of course since we can't bring back jobs to america)

I saw a GREAT game here with quad A ball. Gateway and Central Catholic. Very entertaining and I think one of the plays in that game made ESPN top ten plays. Highlights:

What would be great is having all the USA state champs play-off for a national high school title but that would never happen because of academics, cost and too many games. It's an interesting thought tho!
