Charter Communications Inc. is raising rates for basic cable by between 7.8 percent and 155 percent across the St. Louis area, the company said Wednesday.
Basic cable is a 30-channel analog service used by nearly 49,000 of the cable provider's 450,000 customers in the St. Louis area. The rate increase doesn't affect the more popular expanded basic or digital cable rates.
