Comcast's launch of the triple-play bundle (aka TV, broadband and VoIP) in 2006 made it "one of the most important years in the company's history," says Comcast CEO Brian Roberts. The company says that 7% of their customer base took the triple play by the end of 2006, a figure Comcast execs say will reach 16% by the end of 2007. Roberts has previously said he's not sure customers are ready for the "quadruple play," the bundling of wireless phone service.

Comcast is the most successful at signing up triple-play customers, thanks largely to their aggressive VoIP push and their $99 introductory bundle. The results of a recent survey indicated that 85% of consumers don't grab the triple play from their ISP, though that number is down from 89% a year ago.
