Comcast Unveils its New Netflix Bundles

Last week Comcast unveiled that the company would soon be selling Netflix subscriptions to the company's cable, broadband and phone customers, though it didn't say just what those bundles would cost. From the looks of things, Comcast is only bundling Netflix if you're willing to sign up for large bundles of existing services and sign a two year contract with Comcast. For example, a new customer in New Jersey says they were presented with the following options if they wanted Netflix included:

• Signature Triple Play: Includes broadband (up to 400 Mbps), 219-plus TV channels, phone service, DVR service and Netflix, Starz and Showtime for $119.99 per month (with a two-year agreement).

• Super Triple Play: 1 Gbps (downstream) broadband, 250-plus TV channels, phone service, DVR service, along with Netflix, HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax and TMC, for $149.99 per month (with a two-year agreement).

• Signature Double Play: Broadband up to 100 Mbps, and 219-plus TV channels with Netflix, Showtime and Starz, for $99.99 per month for the first 12 months (rising to $119.99 per month for months 13-24).

• Super Double Play: Broadband up to 150 Mbps, and 250-plus TV channels, with Netflix, HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax, and TMC, for $129.99 per month (with a two-year agreement).

A Philadelphia area user in our forums say that the company is also presenting them with the option of a Netflix bundle that includes an upgrade from 250 Mbps to 1 Gbps for a $10 savings, though the promotion won't be going live until May 9. Meanwhile, Comcast has updated the company's billing page to detail how it will handle billing for this new Netflix partnership. One little added note: despite being bundles with service, Netflix will still count against your usage caps, while Comcast TV service via the company's app will not.

I haven't been with Comcast in going on 3 years and boy have the prices gone up.

Those are introductory prices? What in the hell do they go up to when the contract is up? Wow!!
