Comcast will be raising rates
next month on San Francisco Bay Area customers who subscribe only to cable. The increase will be about 4.5% on average and is cited to be due to changes in the economy ranging from increased programming fees to rising gas prices. Those customers who combine their video subscriptions with broadband or phone services will not be impacted by the hike. This seems to be an annual trend for Comcast which wants to push customers into bundling their services.
