I thought...in theory, anyhow, that the news was supposed to be just that...news; not a news site posting a Comcast self-justifying press release about the "Comcast triple-play package"; ignoring the fact that it's the very same package that most OTHER cable systems are using as well. | |
| Travelfan1RIP Analog Go Digital join:2005-08-23 Woodbridge, NJ | Satellite Companies may be a threat with their HD offerings I believe the author of this article is missing a real threat from the satellite companies: The fact that they will deploy many HD channels this year and what is Comcast planning to do to react to it. IMHO, the fact that the big electronic chains like Best Buy and Circuit City are heavily promoting HDTVs and Directv especially is promoting its services a lot in these stores may cause HD owners to switch from cable to the satellite companies if the cable co's don't start matching the HD channel offerings of the satellite providers, especially now, that the main channels like USA, SciFi, TBS, Discovery Networks and others are about to start its HD broadcasts. -- Comcast of New Jersey II(Union) Verizon DSL
