Connecticut Users See DSL, TV Outages in Switch From AT&T Tuesday Oct 28 2014 12:17 EDT Tipped by ptrowski Last week saw Frontier's acquisition of AT&T's DSL and landline customers in Connecticut get final regulatory approval, but customers already are complaining about a sloppy handoff. According to the Middletown Press, the midnight weekend transfer of ownership of hundreds of thousands of customers didn't go particularly well, with an undetermined but significant number of customers losing DSL and TV service well into Monday afternoon. For their part, Frontier insists the transition went smoothly: quote: “This weekend, Frontier converted approximately 415,000 data connections as well as 875,000 voice and video links,” Ken Arndt, Frontier’s East Region president said. “Given the magnitude of this conversion, we are very pleased that the overwhelming majority of customers, approximately 99 percent experienced a seamless transition from AT&T’s service to Frontier.”
There's an ongoing thread in our Frontier forums for users with questions. If you're a former AT&T user joining the Frontier family let us know how your transition experience has been in the comment section below. |

Slow Euthanasia! The "Frontier" is where at&t and Verizon send their unwanted copper to suffer a slow, painful, death. If I were copper, I'd rather be sent to "the Farm", from "A Boy And His Dog"!
