Cox cable will increase standard package rate again

Cox Communications Inc., the region’s largest cable television provider, plans to raise the price of its most popular service by 3.5 percent – marking at least six years in a row that rates have increased.

The standard package of 68 channels will cost $41.29 a month, up from $39.90. Customers will see the increase on their next bills starting Nov. 15.

Thats only $1.30, costs go up, costs such as employee pay. The $1.30 increase is hardly worth going over to satellite, as satellite will increase eventually.
