DirecTV Now Offers $25 Off Promo in November
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the streaming service, AT&T has launched a promo offering new subscribers a $25 discount off their first month of service for DirecTV Now. The promotion, first spotted by industry analyst Phillip Swann, is only being made available to new customers who have never subscribed to DIRECTV Now. The discount can be applied to any of the company's existing DIRECTV Now plans -- including its most expensive plan, the ‘Gotta Have It’ package that offers more than 120 channels for $70 a month. The $25 discount makes the company's ‘Live a Little’ 60 channel plan -- normally $35 -- just $10 for the first month. With the ability to cancel at any time, it's a cheap way for users to give the streaming service a spin.

Re: Totally worth it

Sling was giving away streamers for some time. I netted 3 Roku sticks and a Premier+. Now they are established, so it doesn't really make sense for them right now.

And if you sign up for AT&T Unlimited or greater mobile, you get $25 and free HBO, so this is really for non AT&T customers.

Without a functioning DVR this service is dead in the water for most.

They could give it to me for free and I wouldn't sign up. Commercials are DOA.

Direct TV nows better offer ran the last 2 months...

This DTV now offer is quite bland the last offer was a free roku premier if you prepaid and signed up for 2 months of service @ $35 per mth. I did and im into the middle of my second month , its not as good as direct tv would make you believe..
1) If your watching on any android thats not a flagship device there will be buffering issues, almost guaranteed ( wifi or cellular network).
2) I've run into a lot of not able to stream issues using there roku premier and my roku 3, well documented online with 1400 and 1500 error codes popping up ( note: netflix and Pluto tv on the same rokus stream flawlessly) .
3)No DVR as others have said and no way to timeshift, big flaw at least if I could time shift I would be able to go back to a feed from a different timezone.
4) too many non needed sports channels, and the fact that there are commercials on every channel and are eating through my data at an alarming rate ( Im on comcast at home). makes this a no go for future use.
5) Only 2 simultaneous feeds, NO OTHER ADD ON A LINE OPTIONS. If your a family of 4-5 your screwed, you will need 2-3 different subscriptions.( note: its been said that might change next year)

After my trial is up I'll cancel unless they offer me the $35 package for $10-20 per month, rather than that Im fine with watching netflix, amazon prime video, and pluto tv on the roku they sent me.
