DirecTV Raising NFL Sunday Ticket Prices
With their new exclusive deal with the NFL driving up DirecTV's costs, it's now time for the satellite provider to pass those higher costs on to you. The company is informing customers that it's hiking the price of its Sunday Ticket NFL packages from between 5 and 7.3 percent for the 2015 season. The company's basic Sunday Ticket plan will now cost $251.94, up from $239.94 for the 2014 season, a five-percent bump. DirecTV's Sunday Ticket Max plan jumped from $329.94 in 2014 to $353.94, a 7.3 percent increase. DirecTV's exclusive arrangement with the NFL costs them an estimated $1.5 billion annually.

I can't believe the NFL still has non profit status

I wish the IRS would revoke the NFL's non profit status. They seem to be making a pretty hefty profit to me. And pay TV seems to be a voluntary sports tax. I'd rather not pay for sports to get my Fox News and Weather Channel.

Who do I call to have the NFL's books audited by the IRS. They don't seem to meet the criteria for 501c status. Advocacy groups had to fight for 501c status but the NFL gets away with no tax status.
