Re: E-Mail Problems Still Plague Fairpoint Users Not to diminish the problem, but If I knew my provider was being sold, merged, going under, I would have switched to a web based email till It got over the "speed" bumps of the sale/switch etc., and steered everyone to that. Peace
Blame Fairpoint execs and state regulators that allowed this Look.
My nephew works smack in the middle of this fiasco. The yahoos from the south (sorry southern DSL members, but some of you do refer to northerners as yankees...even if we were never born here around the Civil War era) think they can pull one over.
They are forwarding support to Mississippi (who must have a helluva time with understanding each other), they aren't paying overtime (law allows extended work without OT if its emergency so Fairpoint declares its an emergency their systems aren't up to spec). Matter of fact, I doubt many FP employees in VT and other states are getting correct pay in their paystubs.
Honestly, Verizon pulled a successful snub getting out of 6 million in taxes/debt, owns quite a share in Fairpoint (did you know that?) and will likely watch this crumble after a year, and buy back into it like some hero, washed anew of any debt, with customers begging them back.
BTW, Fairpoint's trainers (mostly consultants from Alabama or Georgia) don't allow the users to know half the features of the software THEY (Fairpoint employees) are to train their own staff on! Way to go, Fpoint!
All I can say is " Puddin ". (quoted from the Fairpoint boss himself...knucklehead)
