Four Falmouth social studies teachers helped save a man's life yesterday morning when they dragged him out of a burning sport utility vehicle, police said.
A 49-year-old Sandwich man, who police have declined to identify, was driving his Ford Explorer erratically on Route 28 north at about 8:40 a.m. Police said he somehow lost consciousness behind the wheel. He swerved on and off the right side of the road for nearly 500 feet, then crashed on the side of Route 28 opposite Falmouth Toyota.
