Fox News, Dish Finally Strike New Deal
Our long, loud, national Fox News blackout nightmare is over. Dish Network and Fox News say they've struck a new deal that will return Fox News and Fox News Business to the Dish lineup after a month of increasingly ugly public fighting. Both sides had been taking subscriber and viewer losses due to the fight, which Fox had ramped up over the last week by accusing Dish of "censoring the news." Like most of these retrans fights, the specifics of the deal are confidential, and the only hint you, the consumer will get of the end result is when Dish inevitably passes on Fox's higher rates to you.

Damage done

Dish should have continued to "Sensor the news" their subscribers receive. After the way Fox news went after them, Dish should have waited 6 months or longer before reaching a deal.
