I agree, that will infuriate the public enough to get this stupid law repealed.

Or get rid of what is truthfully a stupid law ment to benefit the corporate overlords.

Trust me these kind of bullshit laws are coming here to the US and We will want our ISPs to give the new law the finger as well.

well both groups are the music industry and the ISPs. but if i had to pick a side id rather the ISP push back. the Music industry wants to take away more and more rights to privacy in their "War against P2P".

Could Connectivity And Smartphones Open Your Car Up To Hacke

I wish journalists/bloggers would stop using the term "hackers" in this context.

They mock what they don't understand.

AT&T speeds up Alltel market switches

Former Alltel customers will receive an offer for a new AT&T handset at no additional cost, and customers will be able to choose a device that is comparable to what they have now."
What is comparable to my Touch Pro? Anyone who says "Blackberry" will be shot on site.
Additionally, AT&T said, the vast majority of customers will be able to keep their existing rate plans, and none will be required to assume an additional contract term.
So, I can keep my true Unlimited plan?

Equivalents haven't been announced yet but you only have a few weeks to wait; and yes you can keep your true unlimited plan...

RE:Could Connectivity & Smartphones Open Your Car To Hackers

You can read the full report here:
We demonstrate that an attacker who is able to infiltrate virtually any Electronic Control Unit (ECU) can leverage this ability to completely circumvent a broad array of safety-critical systems. Over a range of experiments, both in the lab and in road tests, we demonstrate the ability to adversarially control a wide range of automotive functions and completely ignore driver input—including disabling the brakes, selectively braking individual wheels on demand, stopping the engine, and so on.

We also present composite attacks that leverage individual weaknesses, including an attack that embeds malicious code in a car’s telematics unit and that will completely erase any evidence of its presence after a crash.

Re: RE:Could Connectivity & Smartphones Open Your Car To Hackers

I read about hacking by forging wireless tire pressure sensors. At least you can fake low or high tire pressure. If the car has auto tire pressure (like hummer), I think you might be able to over or under pressure the tires by giving false info.
