Haven't you figured that out yet? You would think the Holder/Fast n Furious mess would have proven that beyond any doubt, but in absence of real power, it is important they pretend to have power. It keeps the voters sheep in line.

Keeping the sheep in line is exceptionally simple. just mention Terrorists or "For the Children" and they accept it faster than they would a money tree. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports

Or to "PROTECT the children", like Jan Reno protected the kids in Waco from being molested. Everyone knows that even the most deranged child molester wouldn't molest a crispy critter.

| Re: EFF Sues to Get Secret Court Rulings Showing Feds... I think it should be a requirement for every American that lives here read the Constitution, the original and all the amendments. Then you should make your conclusions on what has happened, because to me the government and the gestap...... I mean the police have opened up Pandora's box and it will never close, ever.
Here please read if you get a few min. I figured from reading it we need some whiteout, and a lot of it

| | | | Re: EFF Sues to Get Secret Court Rulings Showing Feds... Sadly you can find the Constitution all over Washington, in every bureaucrat's office, in congressional offices, in executive dept. offices. Even in the Supreme Court. It comes in rolls, made by the same people that make Charmin. | |

| | LTE iphone 5 I do not think an lte iphone 5 will make a lot of people switch to Verizon. that would mean losing unlimited data for a lot of people.
Also here in the NYC area I have optimum wifi for my data needs and 15/3 speeds on that is good enough for me.

Personally, my contract is expired and I'm leaving Apple for Samsung and probably Verizon. Maybe Sprint but I'm worried about their coverage.

IMO, unlimited phone data isn't a show-stopper advantage. It's very nice and all the carriers should offer it but most customers probably don't use more than a couple GBs unless they do a lot of video (streaming/chat). That's probably why it isn't overly risky for T-Mobile, Sprint and the MVNOs to offer unlimited phone data plans.

| Six Dead - Or Dying - 'Cable Killers' More like "Six Murdered 'Cable Killers'"
Of course they're dead or dying. The traditional media companies throw up so many hurdles to doing anything new that most who try are doomed to failure. The ones who figure out a way around those hurdles are sued into oblivion.
It's hard to compete when the deck is stacked against you and the competition has virtually unlimited money with which to ruin you.

Don't that this as support for or against it. -- I do not, have not, and will not work for AT&T/Comcast/Verizon/Charter or similar sized company.

Businesses used to succeed by putting out a better product/service than the competition. Now the preferred method for businesses to get ahead is to sue the competition until they fold. Witness the Apple/Samsung patent fight. Suing your way to the top rarely works, witness Ashton-Tate (Who?) in the early 80's. Instead of making dBase a better product they decided to try to sue their competition out of business. Their competition flourished for many years as they slid further and further down the tubes. Their demise was hastened by the perception that they were incapable of making a better product so they decided to obnoxiously sue everyone else away. People simply do not like that style of business, and recognize it's bad effect on building better technology and will shy away from the products. Hopefully that's a lesson Apple will learn.
