This is why caps exist. The ISPs do not want you to get video from your Playstation. They want you to get it from their well controlled and expensive legacy video model.

Re: This is why caps exist. Oh grow up.
If you can afford a $15K 4K TV set, you can afford to buy uncapped business-class service to feed it.
When 4K comes to the masses in 5-10 years, Netflix or its successors will buy-out the throttling or caps on your behalf, if we're fortunate enough to dispense with the whole "neutrality" thing.
This is a non-issue.
Re: This is why caps exist. 5 to 10 years try 1 to 2 at most
Re: This is why caps exist. Besides not everyone has room for an 82+ inch set in their living places anyway to see the higher clarity and detail of 4K. 4K TVs as a result won't be as widespread as regular HDTVs are.
Re: This is why caps exist. im not so sure i think gaming will drive it more then any thing
and in that even at 40" to 50" 4k is worth it
id love a 4k 32" monitor
Re: This is why caps exist. You are the manufacturers' dream consumer
Re: This is why caps exist. what makes 4k worth it for gaming at lest on the console level is less need for AA at super high res like that
with both the PS4 and Xbox720 supporting i think youll see people start move to it
Re: This is why caps exist. Exactly my point.
Re: This is why caps exist. eh id take one 4k screen of 3 or 6 1920x1080 screens any day
or even 3 2560x1600 screens have you seen the prices of one Dell 30" display? now go buy 3 for super widescreen
id take 4k over that

Judge strikes $450 million from $1 billion damages award Finally, a little common sense.
Activists fear return of AT&T 145;monopoly146; We see this time and time here on BBR. Not just AT&T but Verizon gets it's share too. But I never once heard it on the TV or radio news. So the general public doesn't see what is going on.

Re: Activists fear return of AT&T 145;monopoly146; Because the TV and radio news has figured out that they make more money by ignoring stories like this. Losing Verizon or AT&T as advertising customers will be leave them sore. Since their main goal has shifted from providing news to making the shareholders happy, they only report profit-friendly stories.
