I've noticed improvements with 2.1 in my 2.5G iPhone. Apps install faster and backups are WAY faster. Never had any other problems. As far as iTunes, I though Genius was a bit gimmicky but now I'm using it all the time instead of my regular playlists.
I didn't read the BBB complaints but the Magicjack rep's explanation about the debit card charges makes perfect sense to me. What doesn't make sense is that the person buying with a debit card got a lawyer instead of simply filing a dispute. My BofA and Wells Fargo debit cards work like credit cards. I file the dispute, I get an IMMEDIATE credit back to my account while the charge is disputed.
Meanwhile holds on debit cards are treated differently from bank to bank and aren't the fault of Magicjack. For example, my BofA account shows holds as simply "pending". Wells Fargo reduces the amount "available for withdrawal" but the money is still in the account.
Smells to me like a few lawyers looking to get rich off a potential class action.
A few phrases come to mind every time I see that used car sales man pitching magic jack.
"You get what you pay for" "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." "Buyer beware"
I tried it. It has real bad call quality. -- Saving the world keeps me busy. However, I find Earth very primitive from my home planet of Krypton. -Supergirl
