Valley Park, MO | Retailers trying to thwart price-check apps Could be a weird coincidence, or could be them keeping an eye on their customers. But I swear on 3 different occasions I have pulled out my phone at a BestBuy to use a price compare app and note items for future research. And each time a manager looking person appeared out of nowhere asking if I needed any help. First time I didn't think anything of it, but when it happened a second and third time I had a feeling that they were intentionally trying to discourage me from taking photos of the items/upc symbols.
These days Best Buy is just a show room for me anyway. Although large devices such as washer/dryer/fridge/big TVs I am more likely to purchase from a B&M store. | |
