Google Fiber Heads to Select Parts of Irvine, California
Google Fiber says the company will be launching ultra-fast gigabit service in select, unspecified parts of Irvine, California. In a Facebook post, the company says it will be deploying Google Fiber to some apartment communities and small businesses in Irvine, starting with properties near existing fiber infrastructure. Irvine joins Atlanta and several other markets where Google Fiber has started offering service over existing fiber infrastructure in order to speed up availability as the company slowly builds out fiber to new areas. Users curious about availability should check their address over at the Google Fiber website.

The Village

I'm ready i'm ready i'm ready

The complex on Google Fiber's "Irvine" site is "The Village" in Irvine, an upscale apartment complex.
The complex is also right next to the "Right of way" for most of the fiber going through that part of the city. Not to mention the big office buildings across the street from there.

Wonder how long it will take them from press release to fiber install.
