Google has just acquired Zingku, a social networking service for mobile phones. Before you go spreading rumors about what this means in relation to the much-publicized possibly-upcoming Google phone, realize that this might not mean anything at all. Google has been known to make similar acquisitions in the past (such as with the company Dodgeball) and then not take them anywhere into the public eye. Besides, Zingku is more likely to assist Google in spreading mobile advertising than in doing anything with the Google phone. The basic purpose of Zingku is to facilitate social networking (including photo sharing and sending e-invites) for mobile phones but it may be more widely used by businesses to send “mobile flyers” to cell phone customers.
I see enough ads on the internet, and don't even bother clicking them - if I see a product or service of intrest to me I'll google for it's home address. As for ads on my phone, I think not! (That is, unless they want to pay for a text/multi-media package for me)
The Do Not Call list does not END. Please get that through your head. The numbers first added expire, and will have to be placed back on the list. You can do that now or after they expire...your choice. Further there is pending legislation to make the DNC list permanent.
