not until it stops using it's own player and is able to use my player of choice, whatever that may be.
otherwise, I wish them good luck as the masses will download and run anything.

I LOVE the idea. The content is still lacking and it is still BETA, but it looks promising. I like the Comedy Central channel because they have "Stella" (a cancelled series but FUNNY AS HELL!). I think once more people sign up, more studios will offer content and it will become a great TV alternative.
EDIT: Nevermind. They ran out. I did this 2 days ago so I thought it would still be active. If you guys want an invite, PM me.

| I Beta tested and was disappointed A has been mentioned, It takes over your entire bandwidth, and still freezes up frequently. Found that odd on a 6 Mbit connection.
There wasn't much interesting content, but that's to be expected. One thing that drove me nuts was the playback of the old "Rocky and Bullwinkle" cartoon show. It didn't matter where the show was, Joost would pause it and play a commercial. If anyone remembers the show... they had fairly idiot-proof places for commercial breaks, but apparantly, no one at Joost spent any time to find those spots, and just put commercials on a timer... X minutes into the program, and Y minutes into the program. Very annoying.
I like the concept though, and if they can work out the bugs, They may have something there. Personally, I removed it from my computer. Wasn't worth the disk space.

| MchartFirst There. join:2004-01-21 Gurnee, IL | Re: I Beta tested and was disappointed 6Mbit means nothing if you have crap upload bandwidth. Joost requires quite a bit of free upload bandwidth. And if you dont have much, then it will saturate your connection, thus turning that 6mbit line into nothing. | |

| | Bad User Interface Who designed this stupid UI? There is a pause button, but no stop. There is a full screen button, but nothing to close the window or shut down the application. Whenever I do restart the program, it always starts some match on the Fight Network. I guess there must be a stop button and close button somewhere, but they implemented some cool way perform these functions. This annoying interface reminds me of itunes. | |
