When adults think of Halloween, it immediately conjures up memories of plastic pumpkins filled to the brim with miniature chocolate bars, sugary sweet candy and the occasional piece of fruit from the weird neighbor who won't hand out candy on principle.

Halloween is upon us again this weekend, but there's no need to let the kids have all the fun. San Francisco certainly has its share of boutique chocolatiers that cater to a more sophisticated palate. While you're out shopping for the trick-or-treaters, swing into one of these shops and treat yourself to a Halloween-inspired indulgence for a change:
