tags: business · wireless
Helio users who are interested in knowing what’s on TV while they’re on the go can now sign up to access downloadable TV Guide content on their mobile devices. The agreement signed between TV Guide Mobile and Helio brings a number of features to its users.
“Key features of the TV Guide service for Helio include a personalized, enhanced listings grid with a TV-like interface and 14 days of advance local listings; program reminders delivered as SMS text messages; daily recommendations from TV Guide experts; and search functionality via keyword, title, time and channel.”
The cost for the service is approximately $3 / month, depending on the type of rate deal the Helio user has.

No thanks

there are better alternatives out there:

- Browsing any tv listing site if your phone has a decent internet browser.

- Most DVR's will record shows based on preference.

- I can actually look at the tv listings when I'm done watching a show to see if there is something worth catching later on. *gasp*

Re: $3.00 a MONTH!!

exactly.
it would be a neat little feature if it came free with your data plan. It makes no sense to charge for something that will barely ever be used

Your kidding right?

This is front page news at BBR?

Everyone knows this is crap. "For the 'on the go' individual that needs to see if dancing with the has beens is time-slot conflicting with Monday Night Wrestling". What a waste of brain cells.

May I suggest an in-depth analysis about a future broadband policy!

Re: Your kidding right?

I think it is a very slow day for news if this made it on BBR. As pointed out before, there are better services for free. Not news worthy.
