ITC May Drop Investigations of Nokia's Qualcomm Complaints
Judge recommends it be dealt with in arbitration

Back in May several patent lawsuits were filed between Qualcomm and Nokia including that Nokia sought an injunction against phone imports containing the in-question Qualcomm chips. A judge has now recommended that the U.S. International Trade Commission cease further investigation into the matter. The recommendation doesn’t relate to the merits of the Nokia case but instead to the fact that the two companies are already dealing with these issues in arbitration of related matters. The U.S. ITC has another thirty days to determine if it accepts the judge’s recommendation to terminate their inquiry. The final decisions about the patents won’t come until some time next year.

After bunch of patent losses, Qualcomm finally wins one

It looks like Qualcomm wasn't getting a single break in all these patent challenges, but finally it looks like they may win one.

Patent lawsuits seems to be what most companies do today instead of making better products.
