The scammer who registered thousands of misspelled version of popular web sites which flooded unwary users with popups and porn redirects was arrested in Hollywood, Florida.
John Zuccarini was arrested on Wednesday and is the first prosecution under new Amber alert legislation which makes it a crime to use misleading web sites to draw children to pornography. The provision calls for a prison sentence of up to four years.

Do the Ends justify the Means?
Not sure if Zuccarini's intent was to lure children to his sites, but no doubt some got there. More likely, his intent was to lure people over the age of 18, WITH a major credit card. But, we'll let the courts decide that...
This will be an interesting test case, to say the least.
