Insight president to step down

Friday August 22, 5:29 PM EDT

CHICAGO, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Cable TV operator Insight Communications Co. Inc. (ICCI) on Friday said Kim Kelly, its president and chief operating officer, will step down to pursue other opportunities.

The New York-based company said Kelly will remain with the company until Nov. 30 and will be available for consulting services for up to two years after her departure.

Insight said it has begun a search for a new chief operating officer and was considering internal and external candidates.

This is bad news

Well there goes the Insight customers biggest ally - right out the door. I would bet money her replacement won't be as accessible to the average customer as she has been. Without the help of her assistant - I'd probably still be being told that the 384 upload package doesn't exist in Springfield. We all know of many users who have benefited from here involvement. I for one would like to again publicly thank her for going above and beyond for those of us who needed that level of service to get things done that should have been able to be fully handle at the local level.

Re: This is bad news

I can't believe that I missed this...you are exactly right IGGY See Profile, we have lost an ally. Once, I was not getting any help at the local level trying to resolve a problem, so I e-mailed her and received a timely/informative response. I would also like to publicly thank her for personally taking time to respond to the end users questions/problems...she will be missed.

Urrggghhh - spell check Iggy - here = her - wish I could still edit that. Bad Iggy spell check!! Re read your post. But yes I agree that things might take a turn for the worst for customer relations in her absence.
