Leaked Apple Memo Highlights Response To Reception Issue You're still supposedly holding it wrong... Wednesday Jun 30 2010 10:15 EDT Tipped by caco An internal Apple memo has leaked highlighting how Apple would like Apple Store employees to respond to complaints about the fact that holding the new iPhone 4 may result in it losing some or all signal bars. The memo almost-but-not-quite confirms there's some kind of problem, but employees are urged to downplay the issue by highlighting that the phone's "wireless performance is the best we have ever shipped" (yeah, well, at least when it's not being touched). Consumers are still being told they're essentially just holding it wrong -- but that a case might help, and employees are told that under no circumstances are they to give complaining customers a free Apple "bumper" case (which retails for $30) to help resolve the issue. |

In related news...Apple has not one, not two, but three new job postings for Antenna Engineers. Either someone got fired...or the job never existed before...either seems quite plausible. | |
