Linksys will start making 802.11 G Press Release. So Linksys has 802.11a and a new PC card that is a combo 802.11 A+B, a WAP and a router that is combo 802.11 A+B. Now they will add the infamous 802.11 G that will be backward compatible with 802.11b and run at speeds like the 802.11a. Too may products too keep track of?

It is exciting, though, wondering how they can screw up yet another piece of technology with a buggy, untested product.

| Details? So, now that they are going to release yet another product (802.11a, b, now g) ... Anyone have any details on the box? Will it support UPnP ? Does it have the advanced controls of the BEFSX41 (time limits, URL filters, SPI, 10/100 WAN port)?
I figured once they released it and even put up a spec doc (.pdf) on their site ... that we wld all still have these questions to get answered. [text was edited by author 2002-12-16 15:26:01]

WRT54g: Will have: URL Filters Time Limits SPI 10/100 WAN Port Same processor, etc. etc. Basically all the features of the SX41, minus the VPN Endpoint (Although, it is SUPPOSED to be added in later firmwares).
Expect the same for all new Linksys products.
