Not much to write about tonight, so I'll take the lazy way out and just link to something.

I don't use Little Snitch myself, but a lot of folks do. An article on Ars Technica explores Little Snitch 2.0 beta, the latest upgrade to this popular outbound firewall.

Little Snitch listens on your computer's network connection for outbound connections to remote hosts, and alerting you so you can make decisions about what your computer connects to. There's a lot of new features packed into this release, including a complete UI overhaul, network monitor, and more.

Although Little Snitch is a commercial product, its demo mode provides full functionality and protection already. However, it is limited to three hours of operation for free.

If you want permanent protection for your computer, you can buy a license for USD 24.95 per seat.
WOW! 3 hours to test it, that just boggles my mind, I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a program with that short of a trial.
