| Sure Mediacom is giving customers seven free HD channels (ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD, Discovery Theater HD, TNT HD, TBS HD, CNN HD and Fox Sports Midwest HD) under the name HD Family Basic
For the first 6 months. After that you will incur normal HD programming costs. -- Man created God in his image : intolerant, sexist, homophobic and violent.

Definantly worth getting a cableCARD compatible TV or DVR

@clearwire-dns.net | Directv is the way to go!!! If HD is what you're looking for then Directv is the best option.

| There will be no 20/2 Service... As it was announced here: »Re: [Cable HSI] Mediacom MAX 20/2
quote: I'm sorry to say there is no testing of a 20/2 meg service, nor will any launch of said be occurring in Feb or any time in the near future.
Apparently Mediacom does not plan on a 20/2 service release. Bainch works in Mediacom's corporate office in Middletown NY so this is as solid confirmation as you will probably see.

| Why? Why would MediaCom do a 20/2 service when they can't even get the 15/1 service anywhere near what's it supposed to be running?
I usually get 5/1, but I pay for 15/1 (a tremendous amount of money each month).
They say there's no problem, and the tech always remind me when I call for support that it's "up to" 15 megs down.

| I called Mediacom last night Complaining about the lack of HD offerings and the slow speed of my 8Mbps Internet connection. The rep I spoke with confirmed that new HD channels are available in a free tier, and that some of their current HD offerings like HDNet and Mojo would become part of the $7/month HD tier.
In fact, she said it was effective yesterday, but as of now I have yet to see anything.
