Mediacom Brings Gigabit Broadband Service to Indiana Friday Jun 30 2017 07:40 EDT Mediacom this week announced that the company is bringing its ultra-fast gigabit broadband service to its entire Indiana footprint. According to a company announcement, this expansion services consumers across 75 communities and 20 counties. Users in these markets can now sign up for 1 Gbps down, 50 Mbps up service with a 6 TB usage cap for $140 per month, or a 500 Mbps down, 30 Mbps up service with a 4 TB usage cap for $120 per month. Our forum regulars say in some areas this pricing is only for new customers, with existing customers paying around $10 more per month for the same service. Mediacom says the company will utilize its so-called "Gigasphere" project to eventually bring gigabit broadband services to virtually all of the 3 million homes and businesses within its 22 state footprint. “Mediacom has invested over $8 billion of private capital in its national network to ensure that the hardworking people living in America’s smaller cities and towns can access world-class communications services," says the company of the launch. "We want the people and businesses of Indiana to succeed, and that is why we are thrilled to be able to offer ultrafast gigabit internet services across the entirety of our Hoosier State service territory." As always, users can head into our Mediacom forum if they have questions about this, or any other Mediacom service. |
