| Ikee.B Did any one not see this happening after the Rickroll virus ? I mean really , all those jail broken iphones that were done by other people and the password wasn't changed.

kudos:3 | Google Blocking Set Top Boxes From Showing YouTube Unless Th ... no problem,.. if they are blocking their own TV shows and the like... but, user generated content.. the moment they start getting paid for that, then I want my cut/share for my videos being played over a browser inside the cable box...
(in other words.. just becuase it comes over a cable box web enabled browser makes it no different than it coming over my computer's browser, iPhone app, Sprint phone application, or any other device that I can access youtube..)
Google can shove it on this one.. and anyone who paid any kind of fee to Youtube for content are simply put, .... 'tards. | |

I mean know THEIR logic in it but it doens't make any sense since one could just hook their computer up to their TV can get access to google, Hulu etc. Hulu blocks PS3 from being able to view Hulu. As I said ok then I'll hook my PC to the TV and gues what Hulu, I'm still watching you on my TV. I suppose they think people are too stupid to hook a PC up to a TV or buy a PC to use soley as a media center for the TV.
I don't believe in illegal downloading but when companies continue to do stupid bullshit like this I'm really starting to sympathize more with those people. I mean it seem to take the near total collapse of the music industry before they got a clue and got rid of DRM. And they still haven't fully recoved. Appearantly the movie/TV industry didn't learn from that and appearantly will have to go through something similar.
I'm rally tired of trying defend these companies rights of copyright to people I know who illegally download when thy continue to make MY enjoyment of their content harder. There are people like me who respect copyright are willing either to pay or watch ads in support of that content and all they want to do is dick us around. Too be honest while I don't illegally download and I don't like it when I find out people I know do it, I've stop trying to change their minds. Why should I bother trying to help these companies when they won't do anything for me and stop make something simple like watching a movie so damned difficult. | |

After seeing the websites trying to charge for this I can see why people get it from torrents and such as well.
I am building a media center pc from cheap parts to watch web video on my tv. They blocked my ps3 from hulu , which ticked me off.
That's ok , Ill use a linux variant or cheap windows 7 version to do it now.

CWCville USA | The people commenting without understanding what's going on are the "'tards".
There is absolutely nothing stopping the makers of those cable boxes from shipping with a web browser that allows people to go on Youtube and watch Youtube content. What Youtube/Google is actually blocking are the box makers who are using the Youtube API without paying for a license. There is a huge difference between what you think is going on and what actually is, and I really don't think Google is in the wrong for blocking companies from using their non free software for free (protip: they're not blocking the companies from allowing their users to view the free videos)
