Why is that?...

....which is expected to require a stable Internet download speed of at least 15Mbps (Megabits per second). But Netflix’s CEO, Reed Hastings, has stated that customers will still need a superfast broadband speed of 50Mbps to ensure a stable stream that offers the best quality and doesn’t suffer from buffering....

Looking at the "stats for nerds" 1080 never drops frames 1400 occasional loses one and 2180 drops 1/3-2/3's consistently while NEVER touching more than 30% of my bandwidth and only a minor % of CPU, GPU or memory resources.
