Probably Right on IPv6

I would have to say he's probably right. However, Cellular providers are fairly close to the point that SIP to SIP calling will be the norm for phones. This will coincide with the 4g push where everything will be data. This reduces complexity of switches where trans coding will not have to take place rather it will happen on the fly on phones. Advances in DSP technology has made this feasible today, non Nextel PTT already works this way so in practice it's a good thing.

The reason this will happen is because each phone will need it's own ip address and to reduce complexity of the system the ip will have to be static. With billions of phones suddenly requiring static ip assignments you'll see a big push towards IPv6.

Re: Xbox360 emissions are BS

It was at a college running new routers and what not. From reading it appears it has more to do with the low quality of the routers used.

I mean it is a wireless controller wtf do you think was going to happen?

Yeah because everyone at a college is stupid.

not stupid, just inexperienced.

Had they said a team of PhDs in physics had conducted a series of proven and vetted procedures to come to this conclusion, I would have paid more attention.

Agreed. I have my Linksys WRT54GL sitting almost directly above my 360 and have not had a single case of interference. Sounds to me like a Sony evangelist wrote that particular FUD article. Now, if the article was talking about the 360's hardware problems and failures (read: Red Ring of Death) then I would whole-heartedly have agreed with it.

Ya know based on some of your posts I think you need to stop using the microwave and your WI-FI gadgets. Apparently it's affected your intelligence on this site by quite a large amount.
