SCHAUMBURG, Ill., 11 January 2005 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced several initiatives to support disaster assistance and humanitarian relief efforts related to the tsunami crisis in South Asia.

In the early hours of the evolving crisis, Motorola – as a major partner with first-responders around the world – began working to deploy equipment and technical support to meet critical communications needs in affected areas.
