SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Motorola Inc. announced at Supercomm it has become a principal member of the WiMax Forum.

“This is an opportunity for Motorola to take a leadership role within the WiMax Forum by sharing its world-class wireless expertise,” said Padmasree Warrior, chief technology officer of Motorola. “Motorola is uniquely positioned to deliver on the promise of wireless broadband and the ability to seamlessly move among environments providing broadband coverage wherever needed.”
